Marathon launch of '26.2 Marathon Stories'
Kathrine Switzer and Roger Robinson launched their co-authored book '26.2 Marathon Stories', at the 2006 Boston Marathon. Please read a review of the book by Cool Running. Upcoming book launches will be in Berlin in September, at the Toronto Marathon on Oct.14 &15 and the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon on Oct.21 & 22. Switzer and Robinson will be appearing in Toronto and Chicago, and Kathrine will be part of the TV team for the Chicago marathon broadcast. As a writer, Switzer is also widely recognized as an innovator and leader in women's fitness and health as well as running. Through her events and her writing, she has motivated over a million women around the world to the starting line of fitness, using running or walking as a cost-effective and time efficient means for women to obtain health, optimum weight and self-esteem. .

Her book, Running and Walking for Women Over 40..the Road to Sanity and Vanity (St. Martin's Press) is a best seller in the United States and also New Zealand (HarperCollins Publishers). It is also published in Australia, Germany ("Laufen Und Walking", Rowohlt Publishers) and in Hungary ("Fuss es Gyalogoj, egyvenen Folul is Fiatalon", Magyaraa Konyvklub Publishers).

Kathrine is currently at work on a book about her life and a concurrent history of women's running. In the future, she plans additional books on women's health, fitness and longevity, as well as the social and economic impact of women's sports.
